A THEATRE NEAR YOU

A Theatre Near You profiles a fun-loving Montana family that’s owned and operated an independent movie theater chain for 50 years. 85 year-old Howard Pickerill and his wife, Ayron have owned and operated Polson Theatres, Inc. for 52 years. Howard started his career working as an usher at a Polson, Montana movie theater some 70 years ago, and his daughter Becky and her husband Gary took over the day-to-day operations in 2013.

Like Howard Pickerill says, “It is a business of faith. You have to have the faith. Otherwise, it just don’t work. That’s all there is to it.” The one-hour documentary film A Theatre Near You celebrates the independent movie theater exhibition side of the film business.
